DANIELE SEPE - DIRECTION ZAPPA

Earlier this year, Daniele Sepe started a kickstarter project (on Produzionidalbasso) for "Direction Zappa". 

Here's what (the translated) message for the project said:

Daniele Sepe:
Among the many things I had in my drawer, I finally mixed and mastered a concert held in Sant'Anna Arresi on 10 September 2016, fortunately recorded on multitrack. 

This is a concert entirely dedicated to Frank Zappa, in the company of extraordinary musicians: Dean Bowman on vocals,  Hamid Drake on drums, Tommy De Paola on piano and keyboards, Joe Cristiano on electric guitar and Davide Costagliola on bass.

I had heard about it on Facebook.
Project backers received a high quality download, a CD (to be picked up at a local museum) or a memory card (delivered by mail in Italy).

Fortunately, the album can also be bought through Amazon. (Thanks again for alerting me, Udo !!)

Listening to the download, I must say that I'm quite impressed with this album.
Funky and jazzy versions of classic FZ tunes. With Daniele Sepe and his saxophone in a major role.
