What should one expect when guitarist and composer Pierre Vervloesem teams up with drummer Eric Thielemans?
Anything but masterpieces of Irish folklore, I would presume?
Pierre Vervloesem is known for his defiant compositions and guitar work, characterised by crazy rhythms (and his love of exotica).
Jazz drummer Eric Thielemans, on the other hand, recorded and performed with Mâäk, the Ben Sluijs Quartet, Jozef Dumoulin, and with his EARR ensemble.
The result of Pierre and Eric's collaboration is presented on "Masterpieces Of Irish Folklore, Vol.12".
Only two tracks with each piece over twenty minutes long.
It's an experimental, bumpy and adventurous ride, going in all directions.
