Calling all shadows!
On Thursday, May 22nd, the living myth known to many as Sun Ra will be turning 100 earth-years.
WKCR-FM will be celebrating the immortal Ra accordingly with a centennial festival, running from Monday May 19th through Sunday May 25th.
As an integral part of the Afro-Surrealist / Afro-Futurist movements,
Sun Ra has left us earthlings with an incredibly prolific collection of music, poetry, philosophy, and more to listen to + learn from.
Come get enlightened, and tune in throughout the week on 89.9FM-NY or,
alternatively, online at www.wkcr.org.
