Celebrating one of the 20th century's most remarkable musicians and composers, Frank Zappa at the Roundhouse features a kaleidoscopic exploration of his music and influences. Performances by Dweezil Zappa, members of Frank's touring and recording bands, the UK's best contemporary classical ensembles and an appearance by Gail Zappa, are accompanied by talks, films and exhibitions. Full programme below ...

* For this special event three generations of the Zappa family - his widow Gail, plus his children Dweezil, Moon Unit, Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen and Moon Unit's daughter Mathilda - will be attending.

Playing the whole of 'Apostrophe' on the Saturday night, Dweezil Zappa has the following to say: "Hello Friends, has it really been 70 years? In honor of my Dad's 70th birthday which would have been December 21, 2010, we are celebrating with a special Zappa Plays Zappa show at the Roundhouse on November 6. Not only will we be performing with him once again via the technological wonderment of enhanced video during live performance but we will also be performing the works from one of his most well known albums. That's right, 'Apostrophe', played in it's album running order. It's always been one of my favourites and it's certainly a fan favourite aswell. And not only that, but we will also be adding more new material that has yet to be performed by us as a band on any previous tour. More textures, more tunes, more aural excitement! Come help us celebrate. Regards, DZ"

* Unseen film footage - don't miss throughout the festival exclusive unseen film footage released from the Zappa archives - including unseen performances and behind-the-scenes family footage.
* In addition to the Golden Tickets, which sold out in just one day, special Weekend Passes are now on sale. These entitle you to entry to all Main Space events across the weekend (Fri 5 Nov: The Yellow Shark; Sat 6 Nov: Q&A / Demo with Dweezil + Gail Zappa, Joe Travers, Ian Underwood, Jeff Simmons and Scott Thunes; Sat 6 Nov: Zappa Plays Zappa + The Mighty Boosh Band; Sun 7 Nov: Greggary Peccary) and cost £75, which is cheaper than buying individual tickets, and also grants you access to the AAAFNRAA Exhibition and after-show parties.

* The festival will also be streamed live at roundhouse.org.uk on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

* Sky Arts is the Media Partner to the Zappa festival and will go behind the scenes in a 30 minute documentary, showing on Sky Arts 1 HD from 9th December at 1:30pm. The partnership is part of the 'Sky Arts At' initiative, which will see Sky Arts partner with 18 arts organisations across the UK and Ireland between July 09 and June 10, with exclusive behind the scenes documentaries.
