SPINIFEX - TRIODIA

Spinifex started in 2005 as the Spinifex Orchestra, counting 9 musicians (including Joost Buis on the trombone).
In 2008, the ensemble released their first album: "Triodia".

Ned McGowan adds: "The idea was to have a lot of instruments, tons of colour. It was about interesting rhythms, composition, improvisation, complexity, orchestration. But there was no doctrine. We wanted to do what we loved: try new things out. Lots of rehearsals. New pieces. Take risks."
