Univers Zero is considered THE reference for the Rock In Opposition movement that started a bit over thirty years ago. Blending rock elements with contemporary classical music, with folk and with jazz, Univers Zero has been an inspiration for numerous bands.
"Clivages", the latest Univers Zero album, is out on the Cuneiform label and it's great.
The disc offers 10 beautiful compostions. The pieces are complex, yet quiet. The melodies are nicely arranged and well developed.
