THE GAMBLERS

Before Elliot Ingber joined The Mothers, he had been part of The Moondogs and of The Gamblers. With The Gamblers he had already released a couple of 7"s.

One of these singles was called 'Moon Dawg', and it's considered the first surf single.
Check it out below.
The B-side of 'Moon Dawg' had 'LSD-25', the first track that had a reference to LSD. (only by name, as it's another surf tune)
  • the gamblers: moon dawg / lsd-25
    (1960, 7", usa, world pacific single #815)
  • the gamblers: teen machine / tonky
    (1961, 7", usa, last chance 2)
  • the hollywood gamblers: moon kat
    (1962, 7", usa, don 201)
