Last Saturday saw Captain Cheese-Beard & The 7 Sisters Of Prevention performing at club 'De Petrol' in Antwerp, Belgium.
I had never been to 'De Petrol' and was quite impressed by the venue & the people who run it. De band was in fine shape, and the soundguy did an fantastic job.
The setlist looked like this:
set one: Pound For A Brown, Dirty Love, Sharleena, Cosmik Debris, Pygmy Twylyte, Son Of Orange County, More Trouble Every Day, Zoot Allures, The Torture Never Stops, St Alphonzo's Pancake Breakfast, Father O'Blivion
set two: Peaches En Regalia, Outside Now, City Of Tiny Lites, Village Of The Sun, Black Napkins, Florentine Pogen, Yo Mama, Andy, Inca Roads, Sofa
You can catch a glimp over at YouTube, where LudzNL posted two songs:
I was there too! It was a fantastic 2 hours of Zappa greats.
ReplyDeleteTogether the 10 musicians provided not just a faithful rendition but a spirited and lively one.
The three horns and vibraphone sounded glorious and the band is of a very high standard.
They are clearly in Love with the music that they are bringing back to us.
and yes, the soundguy did a marvellous job!
I was also impressed by the Petrol club, nice venue.
All in all, a really good way of re-living frank. Keep it up.
