Spoonfish will be releasing another track from their upcoming album.
'The Hammer' is a stomping blues rock ditty that features Craig 'Twister' Steward on harmonica. You might know Twister from his contributions to Frank Zappa's "Joe's Garage" and "The Man From Utopia".

'The Hammer' got recorded at the Spoonfish Studio in Amsterdam and was mastered at SoundLAB in New Jersey, USA. It will be released through all digital platforms on September 30.

NEW RELEASE BY Z.E.R.O.

The Z.E.R.O. ensemble, or the Zappa Early Renaissance Orchestra, is preparing a new album. It might even be a Christmas album. And it will be released by Cordelia Records.

Next to the core members (Kevin Crosby, Rupert Kettle) and the familiar faces (Prarie Prince, Juliana Brandon, Jimmy Thomas,...), the album also features Ike Willis, Craig Twister Steward, Joe Trump (of the Kiki band !!), Fred Händl, Niklas Lychou and Magnus Liljqvist (of MagniFZnt), Herman Schindler and narrator extraordinaire Andrew Greenaway.

Next to the set of rearranged Zappa tunes, there's also a composition from Danny Elfman to be found on the album : 'The Oogie Boogie Song'.

July 18, 2015, Ike Willis and Zappatika took the stage at the Zappanale festival in Bad Doberan, Germnay. The band had promised to bring Zappa's "Joe's Garage" back to life and had brought along Denny Walley, Ed Mann, Craig 'Twister' Steward and Jeff Hollie for the occasion.
Ike started the gig by telling the audience that they kick off with a couple of his original songs. An excellent idea as I really like Ike's solo albums.
Unfortunately, Ike's voice wasn't up for the job. Traveling, fatigue, who knows, but it was very unfortunate indeed... Great playing, but I lacked the power in Ike's voice.

The concert was made available on DVDR at the festival.
