- James Brandon Lewis: Tenor Saxophone, Compositions
- Aruán Ortiz: Piano
- Brad Jones: Bass
- Chad Taylor: Drums
Over the last decade, tenor saxophonist James Brandon Lewis has fine-tuned a powerful sonic philosophy he calls Molecular Systematic Music. He began with simple musical scales, and now his work spans a complex, beautiful twelve-tone system.
Molecular Systematic Music is a modern system that uses biological and mathematical concepts—like DNA sequencing and chemical bonds—to map out new paths for melody and rhythm.
On "Omni", James Brandon Lewis merges these complex rules with the deep, soulful feeling of church gospel.
Beautiful.
