Yuka & Chronoship was formed in 2009 by Yuka Funakoshi (a rare female progressive rock artist in the world) and experienced musician and producer, Shun Taguchi.
Yuka & Chronoship has released a series of albums that have built up a worldwide following as they break new ground in the progressive rock genre.
‘Ribbon Butterfly’ is a concept album with instrumental passages that each correspond with a page in the 36-page booklet with artwork by Freyja Dean. The band’s logo is by Roger Dean.
Yuka said of the album’s release, “Having been working on the album for 7 years including the pandemic period, we are now thrilled to deliver our gift of story, art, and music: a 36-page long SciFi story, its visual renderings, and the visually inspired songs. This is our absolute masterpiece!”
