THE METROPOLE ORKEST - ADRIAN BELEW'S E FOR ORCHESTRA (THE CD)

If my data files are correct, Adrian Belew released his 20th solo record in 2009. The album got released on Adrian's private label (Adrian Belew Presents), and it was entitled "e".

The five pieces on the album ('a' to 'e') were recorded live in the studio by the power trio (Adrian Belew - July Slick - Eric Slick), and were a pleasure for the ear.

And now there's this recording by the Metropole Orkest of "e".
Orchestrated by Tom Trapp ('Everybody loves Tom Trapp') and performed by The Metropole Orkest with special guest Adrian Belew, "e" sees a whole new dimension.

This is great. If you liked Adrian's "e", you will love the Metropole's "e".
Check it out. You won't be disapointed.

This is the studio recording. The CD version. There's also a DVD with a recording of the concert that took place a couple of days later. Recorded by the VPRO and broadcast on dutch TV around the same time.
