PIXIES - TROMPE LE MONDE

Eric Drew Feldman came up in a recent conversation about the Pixies. A good enough reason to pull "Trompe Le Monde" out of the shelves. I bought the album around the time it came out, because of Eric Drew Feldman's contribution and I remember being a little disappointed that the keyboard or synth wasn't more at the forefront. Still, a great album with both Frank Black and Joey Santiago channeling high energy levels.
It's spinning at this very moment !

In the meantime, Eric Drew Feldman, as you probably know, replaced the late Hardy Fox in the The Residents. But that's another story. This was about the Pixies.

Snakefinger's third solo release (from 1982!) with a couple of tracks that were co-written by The Residents. It was produced by Eric Drew Feldman, who also plays keyboard and synthesizer.

THE RESIDENTS - RUSHING LIKE A BANSHEE

The Psychofon Records label has just released a brand-new 7" by The Residents.

'Rushing Like A Banshee', with 'Train vs. Elephant' on the B-side.

Superb. And if that isn't enough, the Psychofonrecords website mentions that these tracks are from an upcoming album, "The Ghost Of Hope".
Excellent news.

Common element in both of these tracks is the the rhytm of a train. This is no surprise as "The Ghost Of Hope" is all about famous train wrecks and incidents.
Great energy and intensity.

Featuring Eric Drew Feldman (of Captain Beefheart / Magic Band fame) and Carla Fabrizio (!!).
