Maryland-based hard rock band The Obsessed were formed in the late 1970’s. “The Church Within” was the band’s third (!?) and final album, although several live albums (with older material) and one album with demos have been released since then. Next to the standard CD release, “The Church Within” was also made available in a (limited edition) black jewel case.

The liner notes of the album mentioned: “This album is dedicated to Frank Zappa”.

I came across a copy recently, so I was able to give the entire album a listen.
Dedicated to, but not really influenced by FZ...
