JOE DENINZON ON TOUR WITH KANSAS

Joe Deninzon said :

As of this writing, I just played my twentieth Kansas show. It’s been a whirlwind! Playing with a legendary band performing music I grew up listening to in some of the coolest venues in the country, for sold-out or near sold-out audiences! It’s everything I dreamed about as a kid and more! I always fantasized that I would become a rock star in my twenties and meet my wife in. My thirties. I met my wife at age 19. I got this gig at 48. Throw that script out the window!

Anyway, here I am looking back on the first run. 20 shows and about 50 to go on this tour! More shows are being added and I’ve been told the 50th anniversary tour will run into December of 2024. Insane!

One of the biggest highlights for me was the Kansas City show in late July, where original bassist Dave Hope and original keyboardist/guitarist/writer of MOST of the classic songs, Kerry Livgren sat in with the band. Being flanked by those guys while playing “Carry On Wayward Son” on stage is about as surreal as it gets!

ProgStock alumni Joe Deninzon and Tom Brislin are now both members of Kansas and out on tour for their 50th Anniversary tour - Another Fork in the Road! We could not be more proud! This video was captured by ProgStock co-producer Ann Rinaldi at the Kansas show at the Lyric Theater in Baltimore on June 3, 2023 (Joe's second show with the band).
