I recently acquired a copy of this rather strange album entitled "Coppie Strane Musicale Del Novecento".
It roughly translates into "Odd Couples In Twentieth Century Music".

The album couples compositions by twentieth century composers to rock pieces.
Imaginary dialogues, classical mash-ups, and tribute pieces. It can all be found on "Coppie Strane".
It's pretty impressive. Lots of interesting ideas. Only a bit short in my opinion but that should not be considered a negative remark.

Frank Zappa's 'Yellow Snow' is used as a intro for a piece by Giorgio Bafile, who performs it as if it had been written by Erik Satie.
The strange thing about this album, is that the performers are not mentioned on the album cover !!
Three soloists from the Gruppo Da Camera Accademia Nazionale Di Santa Cecilia teamed up with the Echoesthree ensemble but there only mentioned in side the booklet. And I can't find any info on who arranged these mash-up either...
