In 1986, he recorded Frank Zappa's 'Trouble Every Day' with rock band Cortex. In 1995, he took part in two performances (with Denny Walley, Jimmy Agren, and Mats & Morgan) performing the music of Captain Beefheart, resulting in an excellent album on the UAE label.
His first solo album, "Something Wicked This Way Comes" got released in between those two projects. It's a fine release and well worth checking out.
The vinyl version of "Someting Wicked" has a nice little surprise: side B starts with one minute of the band performing Captain Beefheart's 'Ella Guru'. It's a seperate track. It doesn't go into the next track. You have to move the needle if you want to go to the next song. Bizarre.
And watch out : the CD does not include this little gem.
