SPACE ORPHANS' LAST GIG

The very last Space Orphans gig will take place on April 30, 2016, at 'Cherry Street Station' in Wallingford, CT, usa.

SPACE ORPHANS - LIVE - 4 SONGS

• space orphans: live - 4 songs
      (2013, cdr-promo, usa, private release)

Searching for the Space Orphans vinyl album earlier this week, made me come across this promotional CDR that I received from Joe Nolan in 2013.
To my own amazement, I hadn't put the data in the United Mutations Archives.
So I gave the disc another spin and started typing.

This CDR (in a blue transparant sleeve) presents four tracks and I can't really read the handwriting on the label, but the first track is the Space Orphans doing a live version of Frank Zappa's 'Camarillo Brillo / Muffin Man'.

Here's 'Camarillo Brillo / Muffin Man' :

SPACE ORPHANS - SPACE ORPHANS

• space orphans: space orphans
      (2013, lp, usa, spaynsive productions)

With 2014 coming to an end, let me share with you one of my favourite albums of 2013. Yes. The year before 2014.

Space Orphans is

• Joe Nolan (Doctor Dark, Kimono Draggin') - guitar / vocals
• Kelly L'Heureux - bass
• Frank Malec - electric piano / keyboards
• Chris Swirski (Kimono Draggin') - drums

Up until today, the band has released one 7" and one album and it's this self-titled debut album that needs your attention.
Because it's good.
Energetic avant-garde, experimental rock music.

Originally released on vinyl, but also available as downnload from CDBaby (where you can also listen to some samples).
