THE ED PALERMO BIG BAND - PROG VS FUSION
- The Ed Palermo Big Band: Prog vs Fusion - A War Of The Ages
(2025, cd, USA, sky cat)
From the first notes, I got teleported into Ed Palermo's world.
A world where melodies intertwine, where déjà -vus provoke a smile, only to be encountered by raised eyebrows of amazement.
The term mash up doesn't do it right. These are superb arrangements of classic prog and fusion tunes.
Love it !! And Frank Zappa's 'G-Spot Tornado' makes guest appearances in several of the pieces.
Don't hesitate.
Highly recommended !!
