In 2009, Fred Frith released two album on the Intakt Records label. Both with the Arte Quartett.
"Still Urban", the first one, is quite experimental.
The Arte Quartett consists of four saxophones. Add Fred Frith on guitar, with written out parts, but also with improvised sections, and you might get a bit of an idea.

Fred's second album with the Arte Quartett ("Big Picture") included a piece that was dedicated to Frank Zappa.
