CIARALLO & TRUSCIA - ZAPPA - IL FUMETTO

Deciding if I wanted to order the "Zappa - Il Fumetto" book, was a no-brainer. Zappa AND comics... How could I resist.

The 160-page book presents 12 'biographical testimonies'. These are short stories that were written by Giuseppe Ciarallo and illustrated by Manlio Truscia. Each of these discuss a Frank Zappa biographical topic, as told by (1) Edgard Varèse, (2) Steve Allen, (3) Ray Collins and Jimmy Carl Black, (4) Ruth Underwood, etcetara. Each of these is 6 or 7 pages long. You get the picture.
It  looks nice (and, yes, it's in Italian, so I don't understand too much of it, but I can imagine what it's about).
The best part of the book, however, is the remaining part where several illustrators and comic artists share their Frank Zappa inspired artwork, or pay tribute to the man and his music.
Andrea Malis, Danilo Maramotti, Enrico Occupati, Gianfranco Tartaglia,... and many more.
Love it. Great stuff that I have never seen before.
