A couple of years ago, Chris Wade wrote two books on the music of Frank Zappa. The first one took a closer look at the years 1966 to 1976 and got released in 2014. The sequel was subtitled 1978 to 1993.
Around the same time, Chris also did a book on Captain Beefheart.
