Here's another nice find for the Others Of Invention collection.
I had never heard of it before.
The Parkhill Raider Band, or Parkhill Band, collected The Honors And Intermediate Bands, The Concert Band, and The Symphonic Band.
They released "1983 84" as an LP in 1984. (Well, that's my best guess. The inscription in the vinyl starts with 8408, so I'm assuming this might be the month they produced the album.)
Anyway, side two of “1983 84” presented a performance / recording of Frank Zappa’s ‘Theme And Variations’, performed by The Symphonic Band Percussion Ensemble.
'Theme And Variations' comprised of 'Uncle Meat' and a beautiful, slower version of 'A Pound For A Brown'.
