- Panzerpappa & Djønne With Guests: Skjeringspunkt
(2024, cd, Norway, private release / panzerpappa)
From the liner notes:
What would you get if you pair playful and melodic avant-rock with lyrical folk music? Panzerpappa, a Norwegian instrumental prog rock band, wanted to find out.
Next to the Panzerpappa instrumentation, "Skjeringspunkt", featured some unusual instruments. Especially in a progressive rock context:
- Rannveig Djønne: Diatonic accordion
- Silje Hveem Lofthus: Soprano & piccolo flute
- Veronika Hørve Jensen: Vocals
- Ola Mil Bruland: Euphonium
The result sounds quite pleasant. Did someone use the word 'poetic'?
