CROSSFIRE PUBLICATIONS

New on Crossfire Publications are Volumes 7 and 8 of "Paul Buff Presents" and a 25-track collection from Dave Aerni's record labels.

FZ content on Volume 7 is The Pal Studio Band's "I'm Losing Status At The High School" (with Allison Buff's sped-up vocals) and the single mix of The Penguins' "Memories Of El Monte."

Volume 8 has The Pal Studio Band's original version of "Love Of My Life" with Ray Collins' lead vocal and Mr. Clean's "Jessie Lee." There is another really good Pal Studio Band track on Volume 8 that does not have Zappa, but features sax player Mike Dineri ("Smoky Night").

The Dave Aerni collection includes tracks by The Tornadoes (some engineered by FZ), The Pharos, both sides of the Ron Roman single ("Tell Me"/ "Love Of My Life"), three tracks by The Rhythm Surfers produced by Zappa and Aerni, both sides of Zappa/Aerni-produced singles by Conrad And The Hurricane Strings and The Cordells, The Torquays, Arty & The Supremes, Ray Holland & The Lilly Cups and four tracks by Dave Aerni's 1966 group City Limits.

ED PALERMO BIG BAND PLAYS ZAPPA

Ed Palermo says:

We ride again, folks.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 23. SHOWS 8+10 PM.

at the Iridium
1650 Broadway (51st. St.)

Mostly Zappa, of course.

The band has never sounded better and I'm particularly excited about the addition of our newest member, violinist Katie Jacoby. Katie comes right out of the Sugarcane Harris school of blues violin. Utterly amazing.
