Norwegian trio Rymden features Bugge Wesseltoft (piano & keyboards), Dan Berglund (bass), and Magnus Öström (drums & percussion).
You may know Bugge Wesseltoft from New Conception of Jazz, and bassist Berglund and drummer Öström were both part of E.S.T. (Esbjörn Svensson Trio).
I have been listening to their 2019 album, "Reflections and Odysseys", this morning I can only say that this got me in the perfect mood.
The Bandcamp page says:
... melancholic & atmospheric songwriting, dramatically charged rhythms & virtuosity of jazz playing of the highest level.
and I couldn't agree more.
The trio is touring !
