THE CHIEFTAINS & FRANK ZAPPA

  • The Chieftains: The Celtic Harp
        (1993, cd, USA, rca)
Five out of the 12 tracks on The Chieftains’ “The Celtic Harp” album were recorded at FZ’s UMRK studio and engineered by Spence Chrislu.

The booklet liner notes mentioned:

A visit to the home and studio of friend Frank Zappa in Los Angeles also resulted in a number of items being recorded and included on the album.

  • The Chieftains: The Long Black Veil
        (1995, cd, USA, rca victor)
The Chieftains’ “The Long Black Veil” included ‘Tennessee Waltz / Tennessee Mazurka’, a track that the band recorded with Tom Jones in Frank Zappa’s UMRK studio.

 The liner notes added

...under the bemused and watchful eye of Frank himself.

The European and U.S. edition of the album sported different artwork.
(A remastered edition with a different album cover got released in 2004.)

Here's the U.S. version album cover, where the first page of the booklet is only half a page and is half of the photo on the cover.
