As mentioned a little while ago, German guitarist Ralf ‘Doc’ Heyne’s third album, ['drai], included a track ('J. C. Van') that opened with Frank Zappa saying “Jazz is not dead. It just smells funny”, taken from the intro of the ‘Be-Bop Tango (Of The Old Jazzmen’s Church’ on the “Roxy & Elsewhere” album.
In the meantime, I was able to locate (and buy) a copy of the album.

Bombastic, symphonic guitar-oriented instrumental rock.
'J. C. Van' is a fine sample of the album.
