I recently acquired four CDR bootleg albums from the Mexican Eye Of The Storm label. Fascinating releases.
"L.A. 1984" is the final one from that package, an album that includes the soundboard recording of the July 22 concert by Zappa's band at the Palace Theater in Los Angeles.

But still, the band kicks off at a higher tempo, which almost makes it sound a bit nervous at times.
Too bad, I'm more into the relaxed, laid back performances. Fortunately, this changes when they get to the doo wop songs.
That being said, the performance is exceptional (Ike Willis, Ray White AND Napoleon Murphy Brock on vocals !!) and features some special guests !
It's not the complete concert as the soundboard cuts early in The Black Page, jumping to the middle of Hot Plate Heaven At The Green Hotel, but it's a hell of a show...
