EASY MEAT - FIVE EASY PIECES

Dutch band Easy Meat formed in The Hague in the early ninetees and took their name from the Frank Zappa composition. The band contributed to the Zappa cover competition that had been organised by Guus Veldhuis as part of one of his “Zappa Day” events. Their track ended up on the “Zappa Cover Competition” compilation cassette that got issued by Guus in 1992.

Easy Meat did not record or release a FZ composition on any of their albums, but they did include Zappa pieces in their live repertoire and even performed entire Zappa tribute concerts as Easy Meat XL or as Easy Meat XXL.
I picked up their second album last week.
This week, I found a copy of “Five Easy Pieces”, their first album.
It's sort of a mini-album as it only presents five tracks.
Sounds pretty good.
