THE WATTS - DECOHERENCE

Yumi Hara isn't afraid of the musical experiment or adventure.

She can be heard in The Artaud Beats, in the Lindsay Cooper Songbook (performed at Zappanale in 2018!) or in her collaborations with Hugh Hopper, Geoff Leigh, Daevid Allen and Chris Cutler.

One of Yumi Hara's most recent projects is called The Watts.
The ensemble features Yumi Hara (piano, voice, objects), Tim Hodgkinson (lap steel guitar) and Chris Cutler (drums, percussion).

For "Decoherence", live recordings of improvised music (from Cafe OTO and from the RIO Festival) were edited and mixed into four tracks.
Texts are cited and are surrounded by soundscapes, resulting in an intense yet intimate listening session.

DECOHERENCE

Decohere and
All those
Weirdness problems
Disappear
... Instead of paradoxes:
Moons unlooked at,
Half-dead Cats in boxes...
Leaving what's already
There
Already there
So
De-Co-Here

(Chris Cutler)
