Zappa freaks know the Acid Dreams Testament sampler because it included Teddy & His Patches performing "Suzy Creamcheese".
Teddy & His Patches released the track on 7" in 1967!
It got released on the (unofficial) Acid Dreams Testament CD sampler in 1988.
And this CD-release got a(n unofficial) vinyl re-issue, with slightly altered album cover art in 2012.
And the 1967 7" also exists as a 2016 counterfeit release...
Laura Espinoza and Lunden Reign Release New Single Feat. Missing Persons Legend Dale Bozzio
“Somewhere There Forever” ft. Dale Bozzio by Laura Espinoza and Lunden Reign
Dale Bozzio, legendary lead singer of Missing Persons, makes a special guest appearance and joins Mindy Milburn on vocals to record Laura Espinoza and Lunden Reign's newest single, “Somewhere There Forever.” This is a quirky, eclectic song about a person who doesn't want to let go of someone they love and miss very much, but that person is now only in their memories.
“Walking down a graveyard path near here,
Drinking in the moonshine chasing fears,
You are calling so loquacious, You are falling so impatient
Then I realize you have disappeared”
Along with Dale Bozzio, Mindy Milburn and Laura Espinoza, “Somewhere There Forever” also features some of LA's most talented musicians including Geoff Pearlman (Echo in the Canyon Band); Michael Bluestein (Foreigner); Matt Denis; Noel Jasso, Miranda Miller and Julian Tomarin.
“'Somewhere There Forever' takes me back to the '90s with No Doubt's 'Tragic Kingdom' and 'Letters to Cleo.' This is the sound that I had hoped those bands would continue with on the radio, but that never happened. You continue to create music we wish we heard on popular radio. Great job.” - Warren Kurtz, Goldmine Music Magazine
“Somewhere There Forever” will be released world-wide on October 1, 2019 on all major music platforms including: iTunes, Apple Music, and Spotify.
This is the second single released this year by Laura Espinoza and Lunden Reign. Their song “Follow Me to the Sun” was released in April, 2019. Both will be combined into the bands upcoming third album slated for release in mid 2020. Both songs written by Laura Espinoza.
'Miami Heat Wave' is the first track of the upcoming album by Belgian jazz band Compro Oro.
The new album is called "Suburban Exotica" and will be released on the Sdban Ultra label on the 18th of October.
on track... frank zappa, every album, every song, 1966 to 1979 by eric benac (2019, book, uk, sonic bond)
Another book on the subject of Frank Zappa?
Well, yes.
"On Track" discusses every song on every album that Frank Zappa released from 1966's Freak Out to 1979's Joe's Garage.
160 pages, paperback.
Released earlier this year.
Easy reading.
It's actually better than I thought it would be.
Stef Kamil Carlens' new album!!
Beautiful.
If you're familiar with Zita Swoon or with Stef Kamil's previous release, "Stuck In The Status Quo", you sort of know what to expect and you won't be disappointed. Quite the contrary, actually.
‘‘Back On The Road‘‘, a road trip that takes you to a dusty, hot desert, kicks off the album impressively and is also the new single, which is now available everywhere.
"Someone leaves his house, his cocoon, his security, his permanent place and starts to travel. He has done it before, so the feeling of being on the road and the places where he ends up are familiar. Or does he recognize a world he has seen before in a dream? His garden, where roses once bloomed, is overgrown with weeds and bamboo. His old familiar house has been swallowed up by nature, but his heart beats like never before, and he feels his blood rush through his veins like a wild stream."

the residents: the residents present alvin snow aka dyin' dog (2019, 5*7", germany, psychofon records)
5 x 7″ vinyl singles hosted in a 10″ box with 13 reproduced Polaroid photos. Available in 3 variations: Black, White, and Multicolored. (Take note of the photos below. The multicolored edition offers extremely varied color and swirl results. Blues is about life, and life is varied and colorful…Therefore, among the entire run of color pressings each 7″ is truly one-of-a-kind and some of the individual pieces stand drastically apart from the rest of the run.)
My package arrived today.
Haven't listened to it yet, but it looks AMAZING.
----------- Metal, Meat & Bone - The Songs of Dyin' Dog is an upcoming album by The Residents, expected for release in February 2020 on Cherry Red/MVD.
Metal, Meat & Bone will feature The Residents' interpretations of songs previously recorded in the mid 1970s by Alvin "Dyin' Dog" Snow, an obscure Louisiana blues musician who was briefly associated with The Residents' early collaborator Roland Sheehan.
In the meantime, here's James Dean, posing as a blues singer...
Recently, this 10 CD box with live concerts by Prince turned up.
Unauthorised and probably using the 'it's older than 20 (or was it 25) years' argument to get this out through major record shops,...
On the other hand, it's 10 CD's and offered for something like 20 euros.

The third album by the Ugly Papas got recorded between 1995 and 1997.
The album, however, got only released in 2017.
This is hard to believe as this is an extremely fine album.
Recommended listening !
It includes Sun Ra's 'Satellites Are Spinning'.
2nd (?) single from the acclaimed album by Mauro and Kloot - Outsider/Insider with no less than 6 B-Sides of different versions of the track, giving some impression of the work that went into the record.
I must admit that I haven't really been following Henry Kaiser's musical career the last years.
So when I heard about Henry Kaiser and Max Kutner's collaboration, "Wild Courses", a little while ago, I was happy to check it out. On Iluso Records.
The recent Iluso Records.newsletter, talked about another Henry Kaiser release. This time with Iluso Records co-owner and guitar player Álvaro Domene.
"El Tren Fantasma" is a Mexican silent movie The music on this album is inspired by that movie.
Very nice.
Uriah Heep Lead Singer Bernie Shaw Teams Up With Fellow Canadian Songwriter and Musician Dale Collins For New Studio Album Too Much Information – OUT NOW!
London - Uriah Heep’s lead singer Bernie Shaw has been working on a new studio album, in between the band’s tour dates, with his bandmate from the music scene in Victoria, guitarist and songwriter Dale Collins.
The duo has released an EP in Canada, however, it only included some of the songs they’d worked on together and was recorded many years back. This new studio album sees them re-record those tracks afresh, along with the other songs from their collaboration.
The album has Bernie working with same people he’d worked with on recent Uriah Heep projects, including sound engineer Steve Rispin, mastering engineer Mike Pietrini, graphic designer Mike Inns and label/copyrights manager Daniel Earnshaw.
The album is available as a CD, 180gsm LP, Download and on Streaming platforms. The CD is a six panel digipack which matches many of the recent Uriah Heep releases and back catalogue re-releases, so the album will look great sitting alongside the band’s catalogue in a fan’s collection.
The album trailer :
No-one involved with the project can believe the release date of 13th September 2019 is 6 years to the day that the very first email was sent between them suggesting the project. It’s been a labour of love, with work completed as and when time and schedules allowed.
Of the album Bernie Shaw said: “This album has been a long time in the making as Uriah Heep still occupies almost 200 days of my year! But we’ve done it! l’m very proud of the end result. Working from two sides of the world is not an easy task, but the power and the energy of these songs shine through. I can’t wait for the reaction from both the Heep fans and beyond! Rock on!”
Dale Collins added: “It’s been a long journey to make this album. Thanks to the thousands of fans who have followed the process and corresponded with me throughout. I am very pleased to see it completed.”
This album was originally released in 1995 as a promotional cassette (a gift for visitors of the Versace collection during the Paris fashion week).
Re-released last April (2019) on cassette for Record Store Day, it finally got a proper vinyl and CD release.
Excellent.
Experiencing Stéphane Galland's "(The Mystery Of) KEM" last year in Brussels was a great experience.

I picked up this book a little while ago. From Gonzo Multimedia.
It got released in 2014.
180-page paperback on the PMRC and FZ's senate hearings.
Flashback to the eighties...
On September 19, 1985, Frank Zappa testified before the United States Senate Commerce, Technology, and Transportation committee, attacking the Parents Music Resource Center or PMRC, a music organization co-founded by Tipper Gore, wife of then-senator Al Gore. The PMRC consisted of many wives of politicians, including the wives of five members of the committee, and was founded to address the issue of song lyrics with sexual or satanic content. Zappa saw their activities as on a path towards censorship, and called their proposal for voluntary labelling of records with explicit content "extortion" of the music industry. This is what happened.
Drei Vom Rhein made a Zappa tribute album in 2007 and another one in 2015.
It was no coincidence that they performed at Zappanale in 2015 as well.
Their first album, however, got released in 1993. They were still a trio at the time (with Werner Neumann, who is the sole survivor, on the guitar).
Guitar-oriented jazz-rock & fusion. Beautiful. Data has been added to the United Mutations Archives.
Here's the more recent line-up, with Werner Neumann on the guitar.
I received this brand-new 2 CD set yesterday.
Bryan Beller's "Scenes From The Flood".
Just listened to it for the first time (while adding data to the United Mutations Archives) and I can already tell you that this album will be in and around my CD player all week.
Wow.
Beautiful compositions, great colours and instrumentation plus an impressive set of guests.
Stratospheerius is honored and excited to be performing on the main stage at Progstock!

Belgian band The Ugly Papas recorded FZ's 'Trouble Every Day' and released it on their second album. The eponymous one, that is.
Their first album, "Papa Rules, OK?" was released two years earlier (1992 already !!) and presents some fine raw rock music.
Quite unpredictable, the album also includes The Ugly Papas performing Sun Ra's 'The Satellites Are Spinning".
An excellent release.
The album cover gives it away. What you see is what you get.
Dutch band Gruppo Sportivo's first (and fabulous) album got released in 1977.
It did get re-issued on CD a couple of times, but 2012 saw it released on a double 10" set.
On white vinyl.
Don't know if there's also a 10" black vinyl edition...
Beautiful.
Just listen to this track from "10 Mistakes" and tell me if the intro sounds familiar.
Adding data to the United Mutations Archives. Pretty fine concert, with loads of guests !!
Two CD plus DVD set recorded live at the historic Deepest End Concert in New Orleans, LA on May 3rd, 2003. DVD includes 15 minutes of behind the scenes footage plus a photo gallery. Starring Gov't Mule (Warren Haynes, Matt Abts, and Danny Louis). Featuring appearances by bass players Les Claypool, Mike Gordon, Jason Newsted, Victor Wooten, George Porter, Jr, Dave Schools, Greg Rzab, Rob Wasserman, and more. Also featuring appearances by the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Fred Wesley, Karl Denson, Bernie Worrell, Bela Fleck, and many others.
This standard 2CD edition of the latest Gov't Mule album presents the audio of the 2DVD discs from the 'luxury' 2CD/2DVD set. Didn't really have a choice as I can't play these DVD's in the car...
Devin Townsend's most recent album, "Empath", features none other than Mike Keneally and Morgan Ågren.
The 2CD "luxury" version comes with bonus demo material.
Impressive.
I'll probably play Steve Vai's "Sex and Religion" again, one of the next days...
Soft Machine, featuring legendary musicians John Etheridge, Theo Travis, Roy Babbington, John Marshall, is touring this Fall, mostly in the UK and there are two shows in The Netherlands. Next year, there will many shows around Europe, and hopefully in South America as well. And we have plans to make a new album, sometimes in the late Summer of 2020, to be released in the early 2021. And then, besides many more gigs across the Europe and UK, the band will go back to Japan and Asia in 2021 and as well, to USA and Canada.
