After having released two teasers on Bandcamp, Fido Plays Zappa eventually released their entire new album a couple of days ago.
Featuring special guest Robert Martin Martin (lead vocals, keyboards, saxophone) next to Oliver Friedli (keyboards), Stefan Strittmatter (guitar, vocals), Martin Medimorec (percussion, vocals), Pascal Grünenfelder (bass, vocals), and Remy Sträuli (drums, vocals), "The Great Escape For All Of You" will take you through some excellent performances of some great Zappa tunes.

This is the material that will survive the test of time: 'Trouble Every Day', 'City Of Tiny Lites', 'Black Napkins', 'Dupree's Paradise', 'Village Of The Sun', 'Echidna's Arf' / 'Don't You Ever Wash That Thing', 'Cosmic Debris', 'Inca Roads', 'Sinister Footwear', and 'Sofa'.

The guitar solos in 'City Of Tiny Lites' and 'Inca Roads', the bass solo and the melodic percussion in 'Black Napkins'...

The CD (and Bandcamp) version do offer one additional track : 'Village Of The Sun' !!

In my excitement, I had ordered both the CD and the LP.

Too bad that the album cover of my LP got ripped during transport. (The actual vinyl album should never be transported inside the cardboard jacket. It will push against and rip the cardboard.)
At least the vinyl was OK.
