The late Phil Miller was part of the Canterbury scene, performing and recording with Hatfield And The North, and Matching Mole, to name two.
Fred Baker played bass in Phil Miller's In Cahoots project. But he also played guitar. And that's what the "Double Up" album is all about.
Actually, Phil Miller and Fred Baker recorded two albums together.
The first one, "Double Up", got released in 1992 on Crescent Records in the UK.
The second one was aptly called "Double Up 2".
The Burning Shed website adds:
"After releasing Double Up in 1992 the duo began work on a second album, but following Phil's death in 2017 the digital multitrack tapes were thought to be lost. Recently rediscovered and lovingly mixed by longtime associate Benj Lefevre, "Double Up 2" features stunning performances from Miller and Baker as they tackle their own intricate compositions and a favourite piece by keyboardist Alan Gowen."
