SANDRO OLIVA - LIVING WITH A MOUSTACHE

Sandro Oliva recorded his "Living With A Moustache" album in 1988 and 1989. The album got released in 1989, but only after Sandro has sold most of his equipment to finance the costs.

When Sandro Oliva joined the Grandmothers in 1994, both the Grandmothers and Sandro got the opportunity to release an album on the Muffin Record Productions record label. The Grandmothers released their famous "Who Could Imagine", and Sandro released "Who The Fuck Is Sandro Oliva". Playing with the Grandmothers and releasing an album on the Muffin Record Productions label did get Sandro a bigger audience. Many people consider "Who The Fuck Is Sandro Oliva" an excellent album, but not all of them know that the album was a follow-up to the "Living With A Moustache" album. Most of the tracks on "WTFISA" are unreleased tracks from the "LWAM"-sessions.

The original LP is rather hard to find, so I guess that everyone should be happy that Sandro re-released the album on CDR on his own Obvious Music record label a couple of years ago. He even included a couple of extra tracks.

The music on "LWAM" is superb. You get Mother-esque madness, Zappa-influenced compositions, and great guitar solos.

If you want to check out the music of Sandro Oliva, this is the album that you should buy (togher with "WTFISA".
