Originally released in 2018 through Bandcamp, Al Caprona’s “Yacht Rock Beats 2” got a CDR release on the L33K5P1N 84574RD5 label. It isa limited release of 10 numbered copies and comes with an obi.

Being a fan of 70's rock music and of Harley Davidson motor cycles, Steve Vai wanted to record an album that one would listen to while cruising on the motor cycle.
In 1991 (!!), he started recording an album with Johnny 'Gash' Sombretto (one of his biking buddies) on lead vocals but the project got paused when Steve started working on his "Sex & Religion" album. A couple of years later, the project came to a complete stop when Gash died in a motor accident.
Thirty years later, Steve is finally ready to release the recordings. It's a fun album. I don't have or ride a Harley Davidson, but I'm convinced this will sound great in my car as well.
Guitar player Dennis Budimer was credited on Frank Zappa's "Lumpy Gravy". He was part of the, as FZ called it, Abnuceals Emuukha Electric Symphony Orchestra.

4. Two new YouTube vids of note!
MK: Here’s a two-and-a-half hour conversation I did with Chris Siebold this week, discussing pretty much my entire solo album catalogue. This was an epic talk, and I’m tremendously grateful to Chris (who is a really amazing guitarist) for his passion on the subject, for instigating this conversation and for pulling so much information out of me. Even if you’re super familiar with my work and past discussions about it, I’m hopeful that there’s something in this talk that will be new and interesting to you.
MK: Another YouTube interview hit the airwaves this week, this one with Kyle Yates at The Vibes Broadcast – Kyle is a very attentive, patient interviewer and I enjoyed this talk a great deal.
Dirty Dollar Beatz, a beat maker from Greece, released a Sun Ra tribute album last year.
At first sight, one might wonder how Sun Ra's big band free jazz music can be translated into samples and beats, but I do have to admit that I found Dirty Dollar Beatz exercise quite entertaining.
dewolff: love, death & in between (2023, lp, europe, mascot records)
Brothers Pablo (guitar/vocals) and Luka van de Poel (drums/vocals) and Robin Piso (Hammond/Wurlitzer) are Dewolff. Their brand-new album got recorded in a remote studio in France. With some of their friends. Live and directly to tape, without any overdubs.
The result is a mixture of soul, blues and southern rock. Horn section and backing vocals included. Nice. Very nice.
