SLEEPYTIME GORILLA MUSEUM

Riding the momentum from their 2024 reunion, avant-prog-metal collective Sleepytime Gorilla Museum is launching a U.S. tour and teasing the news that their first three records will be reissued as a collaboration between Joyful Noise Recordings and Avant Night. Pre-orders go live on May 13th.

The band will be touring the world to celebrate their 25th anniversary and upcoming release. The Museum lineup features original members Nils Frykdahl (guitar and flute), Carla Kihlstedt (violin and percussion guitar), Dan Rathbun (bass, Pedal Action Wiggler, Sledge hammer Dulcimer) and Michael ‘Iago’ Mellender (guitar, trumpet, percussion, and an array of outlandish homemade musical devices such as the Electric Pancreas and the All New Lever-Action Lever). Joining them will be drummer Wes Anderson, who played with Nils, Carla and Dan in predecessor bands Idiot Flesh and Charming Hostess during the dubious and incendiary 1990’s.
