The tracks in this collection—whether crafted solely by my hand or in collaboration with A.I.—reflect the same creative process I’ve always followed with the groups I’ve recorded and produced. What is “real”? Reality is ultimately in the eyes and ears of the beholder. For me, this music is as genuine as anything I’ve made since I first pressed record on my Akai reel-to-reel back in 1979.
And as John is referring to his Akai reel-to-reel, let's revisit his "The Akai Years (1979-84)" album that he released over ten years ago.
