Unfamiliar with the ensemble, I was happy to give "This Strange Place" a listen.
The album presents 10 pieces, and from the start, you get the feeling that you're looking at / listening to a movie.
What a beautiful introduction to this band !
For this recording, the four (!) saxophone players were joined by John Edwards, who has performed and recorded with Evan Parker, Paul Dunmall and Paul Hubweber, to name just a few.
