I had the pleasure to enjoy two fine Chris Potter albums this morning.

• chris potter & kenny werner : chris potter / kenny werner
      (1996, cd, usa, concord jazz)

"Chris Potter / Kenny Werner", from 1996 already, featured Chris Potter on saxes and clarinet, and Kenny Werner on piano.
Original pieces combined with standards by Monk and Coltrane, to name two. 

• chris potter underground: ultrahang
      (2009, cd, usa, artistshare)

With Chris Potter on tenor sax, Wayne Krantz on guitar, Craig Taborn on Fender Rhodes and Nate Smith on drums, plus Adam Rogers guesting on guitar on two tracks.

Quite different from his collaboration with Kenny Werner but that should not be a surprise as both recordings are more than 20 years apart.
Lovely groovy fusion.
