Thursday, July 14, we drove from Hamburg to Bad Doberan, the little village that becomes Zappa Town for one week every year.
At least that what the huge plates on the side of the road say :-)

And I guess every Zappanale visitor has the same ritual when he enters the city. You go to the town's square and look for the Frank Zappa statue.
It has a nice spot, looking at the main entrance of the town.
Some people even rub the statue's nose for good luck...
And it's next to the main street that one has to follow to get to the market place where the Exhibition Room is located.
Here's a shot with a larger view, with a non-random person to put it all in perspective.
And then it all started. From this moment onwards, Zappanale was one sequence of meeting nice people and listening to good music.
Walking to the market place, we ran into Evelien, Bas, Jessica and JP, and a couple of minutes later, Luc drove by on a bike ! Great to see them all again.
