Originally seeded on the Drum Channel website in episodes and released on DVD a couple of months ago, this DVD has a roundtable discussion and a group performance by Terry Bozzio, Ralph Humphrey, Chester Thompson, Chad Wackerman and Ruth Underwood.
I've said it before on numerous occasions, and I'll say it once more: you need to see this.

Very illuminating presentation. I'm using it as background for my Masters of Fine Art graduation lecture in January 2020. The discussion of tuplets still confuses me somewhat (as a non-musician) but I'm still working on that aspect.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah: the Lecture is called "Frank Zappa: Spend the Rest of Your Life in San Ber'dino" and it is on Frank's philosophy and how I have interpreted it for the last 52 years in my life and poetry
