Dweezil Zappa played a solo on 'Damn, This Groove' on the 2017 "Who Gives A Funk" album.

I came across this strange book a little while ago.
It has more or less the same content as Urban's "Alla Zappa" book that was published by the Bücherkaravane publishing company.

Much to my delight, although it did mean that I had to purchase it a second time (the download in 2021, and now the CD in 2024), the album has also been made available on CD.

Subtitled "The Complete Recordings", this fine compilation also includes 'Softly, Softly', released on 7" in 1967, featuring none other than Frank Zappa on piano.

Michael Chain added:
He was recording "Lumpy Gravy" next door to us at the time and we needed piano on the song. That was back in the days of four tracks and overdubbing was a hassle so Frank offered to help out.

These guys look and sound like they've been transported right out of the seventies.

The band features brothers Tom and Gijs de Jong, and their cousin Timo van Lierop.

It's that very same label that has just released "Live In Keele 1977", the 6th release in a new series of live albums.

Recorded live in Keele University, Staffordshire, England, 2 March 1977.
