Bernie Dresel’s Big Band, or BBB, is compromised of 16 professionals on the Los Angeles studio scene. The big band / jazz orchestra plays monthly sessions at jazz clubs and concert venues in the L.A. metropolitan area.
The ensemble has released several albums. Their recent “The Pugilist” included their version of Frank Zappa’s ‘Zomby Woof’.
To be honest, 'Zomby Woof' does feel as the odd one out. Maybe that's because of the vocal as all of the other pieces are instrumentals. Anyway, an excellent album with a fine version of 'Zomby Woof' !
The album was made available on CD, as a digital download (including hi-res), and as a Pure Audio Blu-Ray (96k/24bit stereo) album. (pictured above)
