Ogo Dys in a psychedelic mood.

Here's 'Princess Moondust', the second track on "Ohm".

OGO DYS - IULPIUS DYN

It should have become clear to you by now that I acquired a number of Ogo Dys releases last week. All because of his contribution to the "Mother People Ripped Our Blunderland" album (and the fascinating bits that I found on YouTube).

On "Iulpius Dyn" Magnus Lundberg (Ogo Dys) continues his exploration of the jazz-rock / prog rock world.
Fascinating.

OGO DYS - OVERION III

What should one expect from an album that is entitled "Overion III"?
Spacy and experimental punk rock, infected with backwards sounds, bombastic musical movements and cartoonesque sounds?
Something with a theremin?

Well, that's exactly what it is.
This is superb !!
Four pieces, each one around 10 minutes long.
Out of this world. Literally
I love it.

VARIOUS ARTISTS - GARAGE ROCK

The 2003 "Garage Rock" album is another one of those Extreme Music samplers. Music intended for the so-called music professionals who can buy it and use it for commercials and stuff.
The album presents compositions by Blues Saraceno, Dweezil Zappa and Marcus French / Chris Brown.
15 tracks, 3 Dweezil Zappa compositions / performances : 'Fuzzball', Highly Strung' and 'Snow Job'.

VARIOUS ARTISTS - PUNK METAL

Embellishing the United Mutations Archives, here's the 2003 "Punk Metal" album.
The album was made available for music professionals by Extreme Music, an organisation that supplies music for ads, documentaries, movies, etceteras.
"Punk Metal" captured 15 tracks by three artists: Blues Saraceno, Nick Nolan, and Dweezil Zappa.
Dweezil wrote and performed two of the tracks: 'Urban Riff' and 'Power Bitch'.

OGO DYS - NEPTUNE EVERYWHERE

Ogo Dys is the nom de plume of Magnus Lundberg, musician, graphic artist and the man behind Cosmic Pancake Productions.
In 2008, Ogo Dys released "Neptune Everywhere". This 30-minute album presents rhytmically challenging 1970's oriented prog rock.
Very nice.
Very nice indeed.

If you're in to experimental prog rock / Zappa / science-fiction, you should really check this out.

In 2010, Ogo Dys contributed a Zappa mash-up / tribute / coverversion to "Mother People Ripped Our Blunderland", also on Cosmic Pancake Productions.
