AN UPDATE FROM THE RESIDENTS

Greetings eyeballers!

As spring begins its slow reveal, we hope this note finds you well and thriving.

First and foremost, we thank you on behalf of the recently stricken Resident for the messages of love and best wishes after his December health concerns. Rest assured, he's recuperating well and eager to return to active service on the front line of all things Residential as soon as possible. In the meantime the 'Eskimo' tour dates are being rescheduled, and work on new projects is being continued by his three brethren - the much discussed "naughty album" is taking shape alongside three or four other projects spanning various mediums, and we all hope that 2026 will be a fruitful year for The Residents following its unpredictable start.

Meanwhile, today's the day for fans of ANIMAL LOVER - the 3CD pREServed 'Evolution Edition' of the group's classic 2005 masterpiece is out today, and available at all your favourite retail outlets, both physical, virtual and otheral. Of course, we recommend finding out everything you need to know and picking up a copy for each of your hundreds of close friends. You'll find plenty to enjoy, fetishise and debate on this set, thanks to the noble detective work of Renaldo M and Carla Fabrizio - if a four year tale of abandoned projects, crazed ideas and thematic revision after thematic revision sounds good to you, then we thoroughly recommend it!

Elsewhere, The Residents recently announced an offering for this year's Record Store Day, an event which continues to divide fans and collectors but, in The Residents' case, provides an annual outlet for some interesting unheard material. This year, 'Randy, Chuck & Bob - In The Studio' brings together two sides of previously unreleased studio recordings from 2009 to 2015, including abandoned live show pieces, demos, jams and alternate mixes, all of it officially, if begrudgingly, approved by Randy Rose himself. Yes, he IS still alive! Watch the skies this April.

And if that deep well of Randy, Chuck & Bob studio recordings excites, you may also enjoy this month's giveaway - a previously unheard, abbreviated early version of 'Unseen Sister' which didn't make the final LP, being one of many takes The Residents recorded during that period. You can find it right HERE.

And that's all for now - rest assured you'll be the first to know as the revised 'Eskimo' tour plans emerge and the recuperating Resident rejoins his bandmates. In the meantime, stay alive and keep that third eye as well squeegeed as ever.

Enjoy!
