Remember DVD-bootlegs?
In 2009, the Erektion Records label released "News From The Shark", a wooden box that contained a dvd, a booklet, a pin and (!!) a wooden shark.
A tribute to the Ensemble Modern and their performance of FZ's "Yellow Shark", presenting the tv-broadcast of the 1992 Frankfurt concert plus parts of the press conference and of rehearsals.
It got released in a limited edition of 50 copies.

More recently, the DVD got re-released as a digipack.

ENSEMBLE MODERN PLAYS FRANK ZAPPA

A couple of weeks ago, the Ensemble Modern performed the music of Frank Zappa in Hamburg.
We wanted to attend but didn't succeed in getting tickets. A pity.

Anyway, a fine recording is up at Zappateers.
