A PIERRE VERVLOESEM UPDATE

In 2014 Off will reissue digitally all the solo albums from Pierre (http://www.pierrevervloesem.be/ ) on his P.V.Presents - Digital Only series. There will also be a reissue of the fabulous Zala Zala album he did with John Litton Baroï and the never released second album they did together.
All albums will be remasterised, will have a few new mixes and a lot of unreleased bonus tracks. They will come as separate downloads and in different boxes for a bargain price. Be prepared!
Pierre has formed a new band called Simple and has just finished the mixing of their debut  album. It should be ready to hit the shops and digital providers at the end of April 2014.
They will play live a lot !

LONDON PERFORMANCE OF ZAPPA'S 200 MOTELS GETS DUTCH BROADCAST

The day before yesterday (December 20, 2013), Co de Kloet's radio broadcast included the first part of the recent "200 Motels" performance in London.

Part two and three will get broadcast in a couple of days : January 3 and 6 in Co's new show on Radio 6.

LOU MARINI AND TOM MALONE

New Year's Eve had the first Blues Brothers movie on t.v.
Hadn't seen that movie in fifteen or twenty years.

A great movie.
And it featured Lou Marini and Tom Malone as part of the Blues Brothers Band.
Lou Marini and Tom Malone, who not only both played in the Saturday Night Live band, but who also performed and recorded with Frank Zappa.

Where's that copy of "Zappa In New York" ?

A FLASHBACK TO THE RESIDENTS CONCERT AT "HET DEPOT", APRIL 2013

Looking back to The Residents' concert in Leuven last March...
I had a bad seat with a spotlight that crossed my eyes every 30 or so seconds, and the sound was way too loud.
Listening back to an audience recording of the show, however, this sounds quite OK.
