This beautiful little gem arrived in my mailbox about a week ago: a CDR with the radio edit of Zita Swoon's 'Tasuma / Ji'. Sent to radio stations around June 2012 to promote the Zita Swoon Group's appearance at the Cactus Festival and at the Sfinks festival, both to be held in July 2012.

2 Meter Sessies (2 Meter Sessions) is a Dutch music radio and television show presented by Jan Douwe Kroeske. Since 1987, this show has offered well-known and new artists the opportunity to give an insight into their songs in a smaller setting studio environment
Stef Kamil Carlens' "Live On 2 Meter Sessions" presents recordings by Stef Kamil (from 2019) and two of his previous projects: Moondog Jr. (from 1996), and Zita Swoon (from 1998).

SKC's latest, "Be Who You Wanna Be" focusses on the dance moves. The CD opens with a fine version of 'The Future' (Prince), and continues in Stef Kamil's typical sound and atmospheres. Beautiful instrumentation and superb vocals (with great backings by Rahmat Emonds and Nel Ponsaers). Great songs. Love it.

Despite the adage “Nobody sings Dylan like Dylan”, you can fill libraries with Dylan covers. The master is covered in all sizes, genres and – especially – specific weight. In honour of Bob’s eightieth birthday, Stef Kamil Carlens streamed on May 24 2021 a pre-recorded concert with his fantastic band The Gates of Eden with a quirky selection from Bob’s oeuvre. The fun splashed off the screen and the virtual attendees praised the surprising arrangements in unison. A lost listener heard in a reggae-like “Shelter from the Storm ” even a reference to “Live at Budokan”. That session made you long for more! It was a real boyhood dream of Carlens to tour with the oeuvre of grandmaster Bob Dylan . After the sold-out premiere in Antwerp’s De Roma, a tour followed with The Gates of Eden throughout Belgium and the Netherlands, the album brings together the best of the live stream from 2021 and live shows from 2022 in Utrecht, Breda and Antwerp .
dino and the chicks: still live with dino and the chicks (2023, cd, bel, heaven hotel)
Dino And The Chick's CD is out ! The first release on the Heaven Hotel record label in 2023. If I'm not mistaken, D&TC already released an EP a couple of years ago.
The band is doing some concerts and is indeed presented as Dino And The Chicks, despite the band being some sort of Belgian super-group.

Stef Kamil Carlens' new album!!
Beautiful.
If you're familiar with Zita Swoon or with Stef Kamil's previous release, "Stuck In The Status Quo", you sort of know what to expect and you won't be disappointed. Quite the contrary, actually.
‘‘Back On The Road‘‘, a road trip that takes you to a dusty, hot desert, kicks off the album impressively and is also the new single, which is now available everywhere.
"Someone leaves his house, his cocoon, his security, his permanent place and starts to travel. He has done it before, so the feeling of being on the road and the places where he ends up are familiar.
