MUFFIN MEN TOURDATES

Somehow I thought this was going to happen in October.
Couldn't have been more mistaken.
The tour already started.

DAVID BOWIE - WELCOME TO THE BLACKOUT (LIVE LONDON '78)

"Welcome To The Blacout (Live London '78)" captures Bowie in concert in June/July 1978.
The album was recorded live by Tony Visconti in 1978 and was produced by David Bowie.
The vinyl (3 LP) version got released at record store day earlier this year. The 2 CD version is even more recent.

The show included a lot of great songs, AND features Adrian Belew on lead guitar.
During the presentation of the band, David mentions the bands that the came from : "Sean Mayes from Fumble", "from Hawkwind, Simon House", "from Todd Rundgren's Utopia, Roger Powell", and "later Frank Zappa, Adrian Belew".
Great.

Just listened to 'Station To Station' again. With Adrian doing the train whistles and stuff. Wow !! An intro of four minutes !!

This is one great album.
Recommended.

THE WRONG OBJECT

Rumor has it that The Wrong Object might be presenting their Zappa tribute album during the Mosae Zappa Festival, November 23 - 24, 2018...

The band did confirm that they will be doing a gig at L'An Vert in Liège, BE, on November 16...

CAMEMBERT - SCHNÖRGL ATTAHK

After a first EP that got released in 2009, Camembert got their first album out in 2011.
On the Italian Altrock record label.

The album was recommended to me by Chato during my Zappanale visit and he couldn't have been more right.
Camembert produces instrumental experimental jazz-rock. The ensemble makes fine use of marimba and brass and has (to my ears) listened to a lot of Zappa music.

Essential listening.
Saturday, Sept 22, the band will perform at the Freakshow Artrock Festival.
